How to Choose a Wi-Fi Router for Your Home

Buy for the home’s layout, wired connections, device mix, support lifecycle, and management needs—not the largest number on the box.

A router cannot create speed the internet plan does not provide, and a faster Wi-Fi generation cannot overcome poor placement or a difficult layout by itself.
